About

Delia Harrington is a Boston-based arts & culture journalist. They have been at times a culture critic, an entertainment journalist, media advocate, and documentary storyteller. An outspoken survivor-activist with over a decade of experience in nonprofit and political communications, Delia’s reporting and analysis focuses on the intersection of culture, gender, and social justice. Their coverage areas include sexual violence, LGBTQ+ issues, disability, homelessness, opioids, and the Korean wave.

Delia has been involved in anti-street harassment activism, public education on consent and rape culture, and the protests of Judge Kavanaugh’s appointment. They have testified before the US Department of Education, and were involved in Title IX activism on sexual assault before The Hunting Ground. Delia is a longtime supporter of Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, working on the Walk for Change planning committee from its inception in 2013 until 2019, and telling their story as part of the Survivor Speaker Bureau from 2014-2019. 

With a Masters of Science in Media Advocacy from Northeastern University, Delia creates and analyzes across multiple media, including writing, photography, video, graphic design, audio journalism/podcasts, and social. A television and film critic, Delia’s reviews can be found on Rotten Tomatoes, and they are a member of GALECA, the Society for LGBTQ Entertainment Critics.

Delia’s past communications work includes Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, State Senator Becca Rausch, Amnesty International, Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, and fintech/microfinance development NGO Accion International.
